Ideenfundus: Database with methods for youth encounters
A German-Polish youth exchange is just around the corner, but how do you find the right method for individual program items? Recently, a look at the pool of ideas from the German-Polish Youth Office (DPJW) has been helpful.
Challenge
The German-Polish Youth Office (DPJW) promotes dialogue and cooperation between young people from Germany and Poland. It supports German-Polish and trilateral projects both financially and in terms of content.
Since its foundation, the DPJW has enabled around 85,000 projects – with a total of almost 3.3 million young people participating.
To further strengthen the interactive design of youth encounters, we have developed the digital method pool “Ideenfundus” (idea pool) for the DPJW.
Implementation
The online database offers a wide range of methods and games for all phases of a youth exchange—from getting to know each other and group integration to intercultural exchange, joint idea development, knowledge transfer, and reflection.
Users can filter specifically by objectives, keywords, group size, age group, and other criteria—in both German and Polish, of course.
Impact
The Ideenfundusl starts with around 300 tried-and-tested methods – and is deliberately designed to be open: anyone who would like to contribute their own tried-and-tested approaches can submit them. The editorial team reviews the contributions, translates them, and makes them available online after editorial processing.
